World-renowned German harmonica maker Hohner presents the double-sided Hohner Comet. This 40 note octave-tuned double-sided harmonica is Hohner's finest double-sided model. It gives a unique sound that is different from other harmonicas. Each note contains two different reeds with one reed tuned an octave higher than the other. When played, this gives the harmonica a stronger more full-bodied sound similar to the way a 12-string guitar sounds compared to a six-string. This instrument has gold anodized covers with the Hohner name cut out and backed by red silk gauze. This beautiful harmonica is ideal for regional or international styles of music like Cajun, old-time or Irish music. A truly outstanding work of art! This instrument is "double sided". Double sided means that this is really two different harmonicas, in one body. One of the harmonicas is in the key of C, and the other is in the key of G. By rotating the instrument 180 degrees (on its long axis) you can change from one key to the other, very very quickly.
